Wakefield District Markets are developing a pool of casual workers that can be used on an ad hoc basis to support the market operations team in erecting and dismantling market stalls and gazebos plus offer support to our events programme throughout the district. The successful candidates will work as part of the markets team that is responsible for the day-to-day operational delivery of a high quality and cost-effective market sites and facilities across the district.
Key Responsibilities
- Are enthusiastic, reliable and can work as part of a team.
- Are flexible in working across our five market towns: Castleford, Pontefract, Ossett, South Elmsall, Normanton and our Wakefield City market.
- Work hard and get satisfaction from seeing a job done well.
- Are aware of Health and safety issues and willing to undertake training as necessary.
- Can work outdoors carrying out various tasks such as erecting and dismantling market stalls/gazebos.
- Have flexibility around working hours to include Saturday working.
