With nearly 1,000 properties in our portfolio and major projects already in progress, this is the perfect time to make an impact in a leadership role.
About The Role: We are looking for an experienced and professional individual with proven leadership skills that can create and develop a customer focussed high performing team. You will play a key role in the leadership of Property Business Partnering including Programme and Project Management, Insight and Performance and Administrative Support teams. The role will develop the council’s estate strategy and underpin asset management plans with specific responsibility for delivering capital projects, programmes of asset replacements and energy strategy. You and the team will be responsible for working closely with services across the Council to translate service needs into business cases, providing technical assurance to the Council’s Capital Programme which drives a sustainable, innovative and efficient programme of delivery. The role will also be instrumental in leading the proactive and consistent monitoring and review of the performance of third-party contractors across the entire property service, producing all relevant data to support the challenge of performance and underpin effective contract management.
What We Are Looking For:
- Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence senior decision makers.
- Demonstrable experience in handling large, complex, or high-risk projects and programmes of capital works.
- Extensive experience of commissioning and managing consultants and technical advisers in delivering real estate programmes.
- Experience in contract and financial management ensuring compliance and best value.
- Technical knowledge of building regulations, procurement processes and sustainability initiatives.
