We are seeking an Environmental Health Officer/ Senior Environmental Health Officer (EHO) for our Health inspections, accident and complaint investigations and the provision of health and safety advice.

Essential requirements:

  • Accredited BSc degree or MSc in Environmental Health or other equivalent relevant professional qualification for Senior/EHO/Unregistered EHO levels
  • Student level applicants must be within a year of finishing a degree or master's degree
  • Registration with the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health (including EHRB) for Senior/EHO levels
  • Full UK Category B Driving Licence for cars/light vans; vehicles can be provided
  • Evidence of Continuing Professional Development and competency in the Food Law Code of Practice for the Food role (Senior/EHO levels)
  • Excellent customer care as training and support in the role will be given
  • Demonstrate an ability to self-motivate with an enthusiastic can-do attitude
  • Embrace the Council's core values: 'We are Caring, We work Together effectively'
