Are you passionate about ensuring data accuracy and integrity? This role involves assisting in the production of a suite of data assurance reports to identify data exceptions across Education and Children's Social Care case management systems and supporting data cleansing processes to maintain high levels of data quality.
In this role, you will play a key part in identifying and resolving data quality issues within our Children & Young People's case management systems. You will support processes in relation to statutory and regulatory returns within Education and Children's Social Care such as data verification, ensuring data is corrected in accordance with data protocols.

What will be expected from me?
You will work as part of a team to provide data quality assurance and support across Wakefield Council's Children & Young People Services. Your role will help us meet statutory requirements and deliver improved outcomes by providing data, analytical, and administrative support for key services.
What I might be doing?
- Ensuring the data quality of daily data feeds from your allocated group of schools.
- Updating case management systems to ensure accuracy and currency.
- Assisting in the completion of statutory collections on time and to a high standard.
- Developing skills in reporting tools such as Excel, SQL, and Power BI to generate insights.
- Supporting operational objectives within the Business Intelligence and Reporting Team and the wider Children & Young People's Directorate.
- Providing administrative support, including monitoring team mailboxes and managing Freedom of Information requests.
Essential requirements:
- Three GCSEs (or equivalent) including Maths and English, or a relevant qualification.
- Knowledge of data quality standards.
- Ability to work under pressure with strong attention to detail.
- Proficient in MS Office applications.
- Understanding of GDPR, Data Protection Act, and information security policies.
- Basic knowledge of the Freedom of Information Act.
- Experience in a similar role.
