We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to work in our Wakefield Families Together Youth and Community Centre at The Hut, Airedale. Excellent customer care and communication skills are essential along with the ability to work as part of a team or independently using your own initiative.

Duties include:

  • Meeting and greeting
  • Dealing with telephone calls from members of the public and internal colleagues
  • Room bookings
  • Cash handling
  • Support with health and safety and facilities compliance, including assisting with locking and opening of the building
  • Engaging with the public, children and young people, partner organisations and council colleagues utilising the facilities at The Hut

You will work as part of a small team and support the wider Children and Young Peoples’ teams who work within the building. Due to the opening hours of the building, it is essential that you are able to work flexibly across the hours of 8am – 9pm weekdays and support Saturday opening on a rota basis. This post is 24 hours per week and part of the flexi time scheme. Suitable applicants will be invited to attend a formal interview.
