An opportunity has arisen for 3 X 37-hour Temporary Assessment, Payment & Monitoring Officers within the Personalisation & Assessment Team. The successful applicants will be responsible for:
- Processing financial assessments and personal budgets.
- Calculating and processing appropriate and timely payments.
- Providing support and guidance to staff and service users regarding Financial Assessments and Personal Budgets.
- Explaining the charging, financial assessment, payment, and debt recovery process to a wide cross-section of individuals with differing levels of understanding.
- Ensuring that financial contributions are paid timely and that personal budgets are spent appropriately in line with the individual's agreed budget allocation.
- Liaising and agreeing appropriate debt recovery actions where financial contributions are not paid or personal budgets are misspent.
- Undertaking visits to vulnerable service users or representatives in their own homes or across the district regarding monitoring and recovery of monies for cash personal budgets, commissioned services, and joint funded cases with children and education.
A high level of accuracy and numeracy, with excellent written, oral communication, negotiation & persuasion skills are required.
