We\’re looking for a dedicated Support Assistant to join our Peripatetic Service at Delacy Gardens, Pontefract. This vital service operates 7 days a week, 52 weeks a year, delivering high-quality care to people in their own homes.

Role and Hours

The post is for 21.00 hours per week. You\\\’ll work on a 2-week rolling rota, including:

  • Evening shifts: 16:00 – 23:00
  • Salary: 25,583-25,989 (FTE)
  • Weekends and bank holidays (enhanced pay rates apply)

Responsibilities

  • Supporting individuals to remain in their own homes
  • Promoting independence and person-centred care, e.g. washing/dressing/bathing/toileting/meals & medication
  • Working collaboratively with professionals and agencies
  • Treating every person with dignity and respect

Qualifications and Training

To apply, you\\\’ll need:

  • Essential:
  • GCSE Grades D – G in Maths and English or
  • Functional Skills Level 1 in Maths and English
  • Desirable (but not required):
  • Level 2 in Health & Social Care (or equivalent)

Don\\\’t have the Level 2 qualification? No problem! We\\\’ll provide full training and fund your qualification after successful completion of your probation period.
