Are you passionate about making a difference to our citizens and the district that they reside in? Then, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team. We are looking for an experienced Care Assistant as part of our Dovecote Lodge Care Team.
What will be expected from me?
The purpose of this role is to support our Rehab and Recovery Unit and provide person-centred care and support for our service users.
What I might be doing?
- You will work within the Rehab and Recovery Unit and provide person-centred care and support for the service users within this unit.
- You will communicate the needs of service users to management and maintain good relations between service users, staff, and visitors to the unit.
- You will enable the service users in the unit to maintain or regain their independence, individuality, and dignity.
- You will have flexibility to work across the district.
Essential requirements:
- GCSE Grades D-G/Functional Skills L1 in Maths & English Language
- NVQ 2 in Social Care.
- An understanding of Safe manual handling techniques.
- Knowledge of Safeguarding Adults.
- A minimum of two years' experience of working with older adults and an understanding of their differing complex care needs.
