Transport Services are seeking to appoint a Hire and Asset Management Officer to join their Business Support Team. This role will be responsible for delivering an effective vehicle and plant hire and asset management service, supporting the Council’s core services as well as associated organisations, such as the Yorkshire Purchasing Organisation.
The post holder will manage assets throughout their full lifecycle, from hire request and compliance checks through to off‑hire, as well as from acquisition to disposal. The role will also ensure accurate and up‑to‑date records are maintained for all key assets, including statutory registrations, certifications, and other ownership‑related documentation, both in paper form and within the Council’s Fleet Management Software System.
