We are looking for a motivated and dependable colleague to join our award‑winning Transport Services Team. In this varied and hands‑on role, you will provide a professional collection and delivery service for a wide range of Council and hired in vehicles, including trucks, cars, vans, tractors, plant and specialist equipment and delivery from hire companies to support our Business Support Hire desk operation. You will play an important part in our pool car provision which includes electric vehicles ensuring that all pool vehicles are clean, fuelled and serviceable at various locations across the district. Alongside driving duties, you will carry out general labouring and caretaking tasks in and around our new depot facilities. This is an exciting time to join us as we move into our new, state‑of‑the‑art maintenance facility at Phoenix 66 in Featherstone —a major investment in the future of our fleet service.

About You

  • We are looking for someone who is proactive, flexible and committed to delivering excellent service.
  • LGV licence (minimum Category C+E – Restricted)
  • Demonstrable experience driving Large Goods Vehicles
  • Good working knowledge of modern vehicles, plant and horticultural machinery
  • Competence in operating a mixed fleet and strong practical Highway Code knowledge
  • A flexible approach to working hours, including early and late shifts and additional hours when required
  • Current and Valid CPC card
