Job Description:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a hardworking, motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our successful Design & Technology department.
You will:
- Support pupils in accessing learning activities under the guidance of the teacher.
- Provide timely and accurate preparation and use of specialist equipment/resources/materials as required by staff/ curriculum/lesson plans etc.
- Create and maintain a purposeful, orderly and productive working environment.
- Monitor and manage stock and supplies, cataloguing as required.
- Demonstrate and assist others in safe and effective use of specialist equipment/materials.
- Report to the teacher or line manager on pupil progress and achievements.
You will be/have:
- Experience of working with young adults aged 11-16.
- 5 GCSE’s at grades A*-C including Maths and English.
- A good standard of education, especially in numeracy and literacy (or willingness to work towards).
- Good negotiation, communication and interpersonal skills with staff and pupils.
- The ability to relate well to children and adults.
- The ability to work as a member of the team.
