Job Description:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a hardworking, motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our successful Design & Technology department.

You will:

  • Support pupils in accessing learning activities under the guidance of the teacher.
  • Provide timely and accurate preparation and use of specialist equipment/resources/materials as required by staff/ curriculum/lesson plans etc.
  • Create and maintain a purposeful, orderly and productive working environment.
  • Monitor and manage stock and supplies, cataloguing as required.
  • Demonstrate and assist others in safe and effective use of specialist equipment/materials.
  • Report to the teacher or line manager on pupil progress and achievements.

You will be/have:

  • Experience of working with young adults aged 11-16.
  • 5 GCSE’s at grades A*-C including Maths and English.
  • A good standard of education, especially in numeracy and literacy (or willingness to work towards).
  • Good negotiation, communication and interpersonal skills with staff and pupils.
  • The ability to relate well to children and adults.
  • The ability to work as a member of the team.
