Join a very busy service and provide individual assessments to people in their homes and work alongside technical staff and external contractors, ensuring compliance with building regulations. The Adaptations Service provides advice, equipment and adaptations to people's homes to support individuals in having the best quality of life possible, while remaining in their own homes independently. This could be equipment such as stairlifts and walk‑in showers so they can make best use of their home safely for as long as possible.
Responsibilities:
- Provide adaptations to people's homes, including equipment such as stairlifts and walk‑in showers.
- Conduct individual assessments to meet specific needs of persons.
- Work alongside Occupational Therapists and experienced social care staff to make a real difference to people's lives.
- Assist in administrative support to ensure smooth operation.
Qualifications:
- 4 GCSEs at grade 4 or above or equivalent, including Maths and English Language.
- Professional qualification in Health & Social Care to NVQ3 or above (or equivalent).
- A full driving licence with use of a vehicle.
- Ability to demonstrate working in a job that requires assessment of medical conditions and functional abilities and applying practical solutions with knowledge of building construction and regulations.
- Excellent communication skills; dealing with the public.
