Overview

We are looking for a Care Assistant as part of our Dovecote Lodge Care Team. The purpose of this role is to support our Rehab and Recovery Unit and provide person-centred care and support for our service users.

Responsibilities

  • You will work within the Rehab and Recovery Unit and provide person-centred care and support for the service users within this unit.
  • You will communicate the needs of service users to management and maintain good relations between service users, staff, and visitors to the unit.
  • You will enable the service users in the unit to maintain or regain their independence, individuality, and dignity.

Essential requirements

  • NVQ 2 in Social Care or working towards.
  • An understanding of Safe manual handling techniques.
  • Knowledge of Safeguarding Adults.
  • A minimum of two years experience of working with older adults and an understanding of their differing complex care needs.
