An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Safeguarding Business Support Team Leader. We are looking for a Team Leader who is enthusiastic, motivated and can work independently and proactively as well as part of a team to provide the day-to-day line management and continuous development of Business Support staff based within the Children & Young Peoples directorate.

The successful post holder will be responsible for ensuring priorities and the needs of the service are met in providing a confidential and reliable administration and business support service. Excellent organisational, planning and time management skills are essential along with the ability to effectively manage a team.

The post holder will work closely with the Business Support Managers to manage, train and develop staff and assist with developing efficient business support processes. This is a wide and varied role where no two days are the same and the post holder will be expected to be able to react and respond to urgent requests.

Excellent customer care and communication skills are essential along with the ability to work calmly under pressure. It is essential that you are an experienced and confident minute taker and are able to use a laptop to take minutes at meetings. Accuracy and attention to detail is also essential in this role and the position requires working to tight deadlines as well as closely liaising with other departments across the Council.

Core office hours are 8.30 - 17.00 Monday to Thursday and 8.30 - 16.30 on a Friday. These posts are part of the flexi time scheme. A standard DBS check and clearance will be required for this post.
