About the role
As the HR Advisor your manager will be our HR Business Partner. You will work 37 hours a week on a permanent basis, working flexibly in the Vico Homes operating area based at our Head Office in Castleford.
As the HR Advisor you will be responsible for providing comprehensive administrative support to the People and Culture / Homes and Growth / Resources, supporting the HR Business Partner in managing people-related issues, maintaining accurate records and ensuring timely processing of HR documentation and referrals. You will also be involved in managing internal systems, monitoring correspondence and serving as a key point of contact for HR policy guidance and procedural support to Vico Homes colleagues.

- Training managers on HR related topics
What you’ll do
- Maintain efficient office and information management systems, ensuring secure and accurate record-keeping in line with Data Protection requirements
- Monitor the HR Advisor inbox, process referrals to Occupational Health and related services and manage the timely collation and reporting of absence data
- Provide administrative support to HR Business Partner on disciplinary cases, including preparing documentation, arranging hearings and taking notes at meetings
- Act as the first point of contact for colleagues at all levels, offering guidance on HR policies, procedures and statutory leave processes
What we’re looking for
This role may be ideal for an experienced HR Assistant or Administrator looking to take the next step in their career. You will have:
- A CIPD Level 5 qualification (or working towards) or equivalent in HR or a related field, with evidence of ongoing professional development
- Strong HR administration experience, including advising managers on issues, interpreting employment legislation and handling confidential matters
- Excellent communication, organisational and IT skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment whilst maintaining high standards of accuracy and professionalism
