CECO Environmental is a global leader in providing sustainable solutions for industrial air, water and energy transition. We’re looking for a Fabricator Welder (Level 3 or equivalent) to join our production team in Wakefield.
Your Responsibilities Will Be:
- Fabricate and weld bespoke acoustic enclosures to BSEN 1090 standard.
- Accurately read and interpret engineering drawings to ensure quality and dimensional accuracy.
- Assemble products to specification following painting and finishing.
- Operate machinery such as guillotine, band saw, press brake, pillar drill and various hand tools safely and effectively.
- Ensure work is carried out in compliance with health and safety regulations and company procedures.
- Perform self-inspection and maintain high levels of workmanship and quality control.
- Work independently using your initiative to solve problems and manage tasks to meet production deadlines.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to maintaining a tidy, safe and efficient workspace.
Essential Skills & Experience:
- Level 3 qualification (or equivalent) in Fabrication & Welding.
- Strong MIG/TIG welding experience with the ability to weld in accordance to approved welding procedure specifications (WPS) ensuring full compliance and quality standards.
- Must be competent fabricating with both sheet metal and framework fabrication including marking out, cutting, forming to engineering drawings.
- Competent in the use of fabrication machinery: guillotine, band saw, press brake, pillar drill, and hand tools.
- Ability to interpret complex technical drawings and specifications.
- Thorough understanding of BSEN 1090 fabrication standards.
- Good knowledge of workplace health and safety protocols.
- High attention to detail with the ability to work to tight tolerances.
Preferred Experience & Certifications:
- Valid Forklift Truck (FLT) license.
- Overhead crane operation experience.
- IPAF qualification (Mobile Elevated Work Platform use).
Pay & Hours:
- Pay Rate: £17.65 per hour.
- The hours of work are Monday to Thursday 06.00 to 15.00 and Friday 06.00 to 11.00 (39 hours per week).
