Wake The Tiger is a radical creative company born in the South West and the visionary force behind the world’s first Amazement Park®. We fuse immersive art, storytelling, and purpose to create unforgettable experiences that disrupt the norm and ignite transformation. Our worlds are built to challenge perception, awaken collective imagination, and provoke real change — socially, environmentally, and culturally. We believe wonder is a catalyst, and amazement a tool — not just for escape, but for building a more connected, conscious, and courageous future.

The role: We are looking for an exceptional Video & Animation Lead to support the development and delivery of moving-image content across Wake the Tiger London. This role is creatively led, with a strong practical and technical approach to animation, post-production and content delivery within a large-scale immersive environment.

The Video & Animation Lead will work closely with the Content Producer, Creative Directors, Technical Directors and developers to help define robust, sustainable pipelines for animation-led content (including shared systems such as character pipelines), while also creating and delivering video content and owning the show’s master edit. This is a hands-on role, combining animation, editorial judgement and technical literacy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Creative & Animation Development
    • Contribute to the development of the overall approach to video content across the experience
    • Help shape how animation and video are used to support narrative, atmosphere and world-building
    • Ensure consistency in tone, style and character representation across video, interactives and graphic outputs
    • Support the creative direction of animation-heavy content, including character performance and motion language
  • Animation & Post-Production
    • Animate, edit and finish a large portion of the video and animation content
    • Take ownership of show’s master edit
    • Support and unblock other animators and editors through direct contribution when needed
    • Prepare final outputs for integration across a range of playback and interactive contexts
  • Pipeline & Technical Collaboration
    • Work collaboratively with developers and technical teams to help define practical animation and post-production pipelines
    • Define reusable visual systems, templates and animation languages that enable high-volume content delivery within a tight production window
    • Support the evaluation of technical approaches for shared systems (e.g. character pipelines)
    • Translate creative and animation requirements into clear technical conversations
    • Identify technical risks, limitations and opportunities early in production
    • Help ensure pipelines remain efficient, maintainable and appropriate for a long-running experience
  • Production & Collaboration
    • Work closely with the Content Producer to plan, prioritise and phase video delivery
    • Support asset tracking, naming conventions, versioning and handover processes
    • Provide guidance and feedback to freelance animators, motion designers and editors
    • Work collaboratively within the Content Department, Technical Directors, as well as with the District Leads and the Rooms & Installations Producers
    • Support on-site commissioning, testing and refinement of video content
    • Support testing, in-situ review and refinement during install and previews

Experience

  • Strong hands-on experience in animation and post-production
  • Comfortable working across animation-led workflows rather than purely live-action
  • Experience collaborating with technical teams and developers
  • Confident working within non-standard playback, immersive, or experiential environments
