We have an excellent opportunity for a Paralegal to join our Residential Conveyancing department. Wake Smith is a multi-accredited firm, which has been established in Sheffield for more than 200 years. As one of the leading practices in the region, the firm has built an enviable reputation for forging successful professional relationships and providing exceptional client care.
The overall purpose of the role is to assist and support fee earners on a varied caseload of residential property transactions, including dealing with client enquiries, providing updates and taking instructions. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and progressing transactions, under supervision and will be proficient in preparing correspondence, forms and documents in accordance with instructions.
Other duties will involve facilitating the exchange of contracts and preparing financial statements, SDLT submissions as well as certificates for title for advance funds. A minimum of one years’ experience in a similar conveyancing role and a good understanding and knowledge of residential conveyancing procedures is essential.
Candidates should be able to demonstrate exemplary client care and communication skills as they will be expected to professionally and pro-actively liaise with clients, estate agents, financial advisers, mortgage lenders and other legal parties to transactions.
