Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain scalable backend applications and APIs using Node.js, TypeScript, and PostgreSQL.
- Architect backend systems for high scalability, availability, and performance.
- Integrate third-party services and APIs to expand platform functionality.
- Develop internal tools supporting operations, workflows, and machine learning initiatives.
- Collaborate with frontend, product, and data teams to deliver impactful features rapidly.
- Ensure security, testing, and proper documentation of all backend systems.
- Optimize infrastructure for a fast-growing user base with high performance expectations.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience as a Backend or Fullstack Engineer.
- Strong expertise in Node.js, TypeScript, PostgreSQL, and Azure Search.
- Proven success in building and scaling eCommerce or marketplace platforms.
- Deep understanding of cloud platforms (Azure or GCP) and infrastructure-as-code tools like Docker, Kubernetes, and Terraform.
- Experience designing robust enterprise-level APIs that integrate seamlessly with mobile applications.
- Solid coding practices: reusable components, test-driven development, and scalable architecture (e.g., event-driven, microservices).
- Comfortable iterating quickly in a fast-paced startup environment while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate technical decisions and trade-offs clearly.
