About The Role
At a glance
- Salary up to £44,200 (plus overtime).
- Working Monday ā Friday alternate shifts, 37.5 hours per week.
- AM shift 06:00-14:00
- PM shift 13:30-21:30
- If you join from 5th October 2025, any time worked between 18:00-22:00 will attract an evening premium of £3 per hour for those enrolled in Enhanced Hours Premium arrangements.
Based at our Customer Fulfilment Centre in Coulsdon, our Vehicle Technician workshop team ensures our fleet of Waitrose and John Lewis vehicles remain well maintained and on the road, keeping stock in the right place at the right time for our customers.
As an LGV Vehicle Technician, youāll work on a range of vehicles from our smaller Delivery Ford Transit Connects up to 3.5T Mercedes Sprinter vans. It will be your responsibility to service and repair our lightāvehicle fleet and to maintain a safe workshop environment for all staff.
Essential Experience / Qualifications Required
- City and Guilds 1, 2, 3 Vehicle Technician or equivalent qualifications.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- A proven background in transport commercial vehicle repairs.
- Knowledge of commercial vehicle legislation and roadworthiness.
- Experience of using diagnostic tools.
- A āCā or āC+Eā driving licence is desirable, but not essential.
