About The Role
As a Supermarket Assistant, you will provide exceptional partner‑led service to customers, ensuring Waitrose brand experiences are consistently high quality. You must be 18 or older, be able to work at the Worcester Park location, and be on a temporary contract of 37.5 hours per week (full time).
Pay rate: £14.55 per hour, increasing to £14.80 after 90 days.
Key Responsibilities
- Stock replenishment, keeping shelves full and products in place.
- Fulfilling online customer orders for driver delivery.
- Reducing wastage through product due diligence and markdowns.
- Support shop team where needed: checkout support, Click & Collect orders, on‑demand orders.
- Maintain a safe, tidy working environment and perform general shop‑keeping tasks.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Effective communication skills for teamwork and customer interaction.
Desirable Skills & Experience
- Experience in a customer‑facing retail role.
- Up‑to‑date knowledge and strong interest in food and drink trends.
