As one of our Customer Delivery Drivers, you’ll bring the unique blend of quality Waitrose produce and Partner-led service directly to our customers’ doors. You will actively demonstrate our ethos—passionate Partners serving food lovers. When not on the road, you'll support the shop team with daily tasks like stock replenishment and housekeeping, contributing to the shop's efficient and friendly environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Start your day in store, checking your delivery routes.
- Load and prepare your van for deliveries, ensuring all orders are organized for efficient delivery.
- Complete vehicle safety checks, maintaining compliance with road safety and health and safety standards.
- Represent the Waitrose brand positively while on the road, prioritizing excellent customer service.
- Assist customers with shopping and build rapport based on trust and service.
- Support the shop team with general shopkeeping tasks when needed.
Essential Skills and Experience
- Full valid B-Category UK manual driving licence with no more than 6 points.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Good time management skills.
- Ability to handle physical tasks (e.g., lifting crates, moving cages).
- Self-motivated, adaptable, and able to work independently.
- IT literacy.
Desirable Skills and Experience
- Previous driving experience and knowledge of chilled vehicles are advantageous.
Hours: Part-time, 22.5 hours per week over 3 days, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, between 06:00 - 22:00.
