About the role

This is a really important front line role. You represent us with every single customer you meet and their impression of Waitrose & Partners is down to you. As such, it requires a flexible approach and the ability to use your initiative to deal with unexpected situations, along with a passion for providing the very highest levels of customer service.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • As a Partner, you will proactively seek opportunities to continuously improve the way you work, taking action to ensure efficiency and productivity.
  • You will carry this ethos into your own role, assisting with stock control and cashiering while also delivering the unique blend of Waitrose quality and outstanding service right to customers' doors.
  • When you are not out and about you will be at the store.
  • You will be the friendly face of our business – the helpful driver delivering services to customers' doors.
  • When not driving, you will assist in stock control and cashiering, which may involve lifting heavy products.
  • A good appreciation of health & safety is a must, along with excellent driving skills.
  • A driving assessment will be part of your application.

Required essential experience, skills and qualifications:

  • You will need a full, valid UK manual driving licence with no more than six points, and you should be 18 years old or over.
  • The application process will include a licence check and a security check to confirm your suitability.

Required desirable experience, skills and qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a driving role and knowledge of chilled vehicles would both be welcomed.
