About the role

As Retail Media & Performance Manager, you will support the Retail Media & Performance Lead as part of the data and commercial hub within the Waitrose Customer department. You will support the process of all activity having relevant performance targets, metrics and measurements in place, and that performance can be monitored, reported on and enhanced as appropriate. This will include a focus on data analysis, report creation and administrative support in relation to scorecards, budgets and retail media planning within customer channels.

    • 35 hours per week

    • Your home location will be our Bracknell Head Office

    • The Partnership has adopted a hybrid working approach meaning you\’ll be able to work a mixture between the office and home based upon your personal needs whilst balancing the needs of the business. The team attend the office 1 – 2 days a week to connect and attend key meetings on more of an ad-hoc basis

Key responsibilities:

  • Marketing Performance Support:Assist in ensuring all customer function activity has appropriate targets (KPI\’s) & measurements in place to track performance against original objectives. Create templates and coordinate inputs with stakeholders

  • Reporting: Create charts and reports to support periodic reviews for the leadership team (including management board sessions), including inputs from activity scorecards

  • Return on Marketing Investment: Assist in the communication & monitoring of return on marketing investment

  • Budget Support: Support the overview of budget allocation, position against plan, spend and scope of work. Provide administrative assistance to the Customer Performance Lead in monthly cadence with Finance

  • Data Analysis and Recommendations: Work closely with customer insight, finance, data & Analytics to analyze data, identify trends and create required graphs/tables to support process to improve marketing performance

  • Marketing Mix Modelling (MMM):Support the Retail Media & Performance Lead as a contact in the Waitrose Customer for marketing mix modelling (MMM) working with the Customer channel teams, Pan Partnership team and vendor (Transunion)

  • Retail Media: Support the Retail Media & Performance Lead in the management of Retail media investment aligned to the plan and to budget

Understands the Partnership business model and our integrated objectives and uses this understanding to make well informed decisions that support key business objectives

  • Data Analysis: Evaluates and analyses different types of complex data objectively and sees patterns and meaning to establish the key relevant facts. Uses this thinking to make credible recommendations to inform critical decision making

Essential skills and/or experience you\’ll need:

  • Ability to create graphs (waterfall, line, etc) in Google sheets from data sources to support a narrative

  • Experience managing commercial/business budgets

  • Experience working on measurement processes

  • Experience gathering insight from data to assist decision makers

  • Using data visualisation tools, such as Tableau, to make data informed decisions

Desirable skills and/or experience you may have:

  • Knowledge of marketing channels

  • Omnichannel retailing

  • Food retail experience

  • Executing change / innovation
