Waites Recruitment Consultancy LTD are seeking an experienced full time Building Surveyor for a client based in Newark. My client is seeking an energetic and motivated Building Surveyor to join their growing team at the Newark office. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a wide variety of challenging and rewarding projects. For the right candidate, the role offers strong prospects for progression to a senior position within the company.
What you’ll be doing:
- Working as part of a small Building Surveying team that are involved in a variety of different sectors, including commercial, industrial, education, residential and heritage.
- Current areas of work include:
- Condition reports.
- Party Wall Awards.
- Diagnosis and remedy of building defects.
- Pre-acquisition reports.
- Preparation of dilapidation reports.
- Negotiation of dilapidation claims.
- Small project works, including preparation of drawings, specification writing, schedules of work, preparing JCT Contracts and undertaking the Contract Administrator role.
What we’re looking for:
- A degree qualified, recently Chartered Building Surveyor (MRICS).
- Experience in some, or all, of the above aspects of Building Surveying.
- Minimum 5-10 years experience.
- Ability to use AutoCAD is desirable, but not essential.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite essential.
- GoReport software experience desirable, but not essential.
