Due to continued growth, our client is seeking an organised and proactive Office Assistant to provide essential support across the business.

This varied role offers the opportunity to become an integral part of the team, supporting office operations, maintaining company records, coordinating key activities, and helping to manage company assets and resources.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist Site Managers and Contracts Managers with site organisation and planning.
  • Manage plant and material orders.
  • Track and maintain records of company-owned assets, equipment, and plant.
  • Organise and monitor maintenance for fleet vehicles.
  • Maintain Health & Safety records and compliance documentation.
  • Prepare and maintain Operation & Maintenance (O&M) manuals.
  • Record and monitor waste management documentation.
  • Process purchase invoices and perform general data entry.
  • Liaise with internal teams and external suppliers to support operational efficiency.
  • Manage office documentation, filing systems, and company records.
  • Assist with the coordination of day-to-day office activities.
  • Ensure all records and information are maintained accurately and confidentially.
  • Answer, screen, and direct incoming telephone calls professionally.
  • Book accommodation for staff as required.
  • Key Skills and Qualifications
  • Previous experience within a construction or construction-related environment would be advantageous.
  • Excellent organisational, time management, and proactive planning skills.
  • Strong communication skills with a professional and confident telephone manner.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Experience using Sage software.
  • Experience maintaining records, tracking assets, or managing company inventories would be beneficial.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Professional, reliable, and adaptable approach to work.
