WAI Power Limited have an opportunity for a Cable Jointers Mate/Trainee Jointer to work alongside our experienced High Voltage Cable Jointers.
The role will consist of preparing materials and tools.
Helping strip and prepare electricity cables for jointing.
Sharing the driving to and from sites across the south west.
Installing mains and service cables in ducting and open trenches.
Candidates must have the right to work in the UK.
Have a clean Full UK driving licence.
Be able to commute to Torquay/Newton Abbot.
To complete the training to become a Cable Jointer you will need to have the ability to gain a City and Guilds 2304 in electricity power engineering or hold an equivalent electrical based City and Guilds. Alongside this there will be formal jointing courses and on site training.
All PPE and tools are provided.
