A well-regarded law firm in Somerset is seeking a qualified Conveyancer with a minimum of 2 years’ post-qualification experience to join its specialist New Homes team in Taunton. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a high-performing, collaborative environment focused on delivering exceptional service in the new build sector.

The Role

  • Managing your own caseload and supporting the wider New Homes team, including:
    • Setting up new build sites and managing related sales transactions
    • Completing legal reports for team members
    • Overseeing daily operations and supporting team training, progression, and wellbeing
    • Ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, including SRA and CQS accreditation
    • Managing team capacity and workflow
    • Providing coaching and problem-solving support on conveyancing matters
    • Assessing risk and offering pragmatic legal advice on complex cases
    • Handling Help to Buy, freehold, leasehold, shared ownership, and associated sales

Candidate Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years’ PQE in residential or new build conveyancing
  • Strong technical and case management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Confidence in managing matters independently
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
