Our client is a leading manufacturer dedicated to producing products of exceptional quality. With a strong order book and continued growth into export markets, they are seeking a Maintenance Engineer to join their Engineering team.
Role & Responsibilities
- Respond to machine breakdowns with a view to minimising downtime and improving long‑term machine reliability.
- Execute the Lead/Senior Maintenance Engineer’s plan to work preventatively in addition to reactively.
- Use appropriate root cause analysis tools and 5S.
- Actively support a culture of continuous improvement, looking for ways to engineer out persistent problems.
- Carry out routine planned preventative maintenance.
- Accurately record all maintenance tasks performed on an electronic reporting system.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
- Formal engineering qualification – C&G Level 3, NVQ Level 3 or apprenticeship‑trained.
- 18th Edition ISO/CE standard knowledge.
- Continuous improvement knowledge.
- Strong knowledge of good engineering standards.
- Experience in engineering, manufacturing or production environments.
