Roles and Responsibilities

  • Lead the end-to-end design and development of complex, high-density PCB assemblies, covering both analogue and digital circuitry, including designs with high transistor counts.
  • Develop and integrate microcontrollers and processor platforms (PIC32 preferred, though alternative architectures considered) while supporting migration from Proteus to Altium for schematic capture and PCB layout.
  • Contribute to safety-critical product development, applying isolation best practice and working to IEC 60601 standards where required.
  • Support the full product lifecycle – from initial concept and prototyping through validation, verification and release – collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and applying power electronics expertise (up to 40kV) to drive innovation.

Requirements

  • Degree qualified (or equivalent experience) in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
  • Demonstrable expertise in power electronics and high-voltage PCB design, supported by strong analogue and digital circuit design capability.
  • Hands-on experience with microcontroller-based systems, along with exposure to Altium.
  • Background within regulated sectors such as medical, automotive, aerospace, or similar environments desirable.
