Senior Associate – Intellectual Property (Non-Contentious) – Bristol – 6+ years PQE

Chadwick Nott is recruiting on behalf of a top-tier ranked IP team for a Senior Associate to join their Bristol office. The Role
You’ll be joining a nationally recognised Intellectual Property team, advising on the development, structuring, and exploitation of IP rights. Responsibilities include:
- Drafting and negotiating IP transactions including licensing, assignments, and franchising
- Advising on IP ownership structures and audits
- Supporting R&D, collaboration agreements, and joint ventures across academic and private sectors
- Providing strategic input on broader commercial transactions involving IP
- Working with high-profile clients across retail, food, tech, and energy sectors
- Collaborating with a team of over 20 IP lawyers, including senior contacts in Bristol
Candidate Requirements
This role is suited to a qualified lawyer with:
- 6+ years PQE in non-contentious/transactional IP matters
- Strong technical expertise and commercial awareness
- Excellent drafting and client communication skills
- A collaborative mindset and enthusiasm for innovation
- Registration with the SRA or Law Society of Scotland
