As a PIP Functional Assessor / Disability Assessor at Medacs Healthcare, you’ll complete Personal Independence Payment (PIP) functional assessments to understand how health conditions affect everyday life. This is a non‑hands‑on clinical role centred on clinical reasoning, analysis and report writing. The hybrid working model combines home working with time at one of our assessment centres, offering predictable hours, long‑term stability and a healthier work-life balance.

- Analyse medical evidence and clinical information
- Produce accurate, detailed and evidence‑based written reports
- Work to defined quality standards and clinical frameworks
- Engage positively with feedback and development opportunities
- Collaborate with clinical and administrative colleagues
- Attend the assessment centre as required
What we’re looking for:
Essential:
- Registered Nurse (RGN, RMN, RNLD), Physiotherapist, Paramedic or Occupational Therapist
- Active NMC or HCPC registration with no restrictions
- Minimum 1 year’s UK clinical experience
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Confident use of digital systems (35 WPM typing speed)
- Right to work in the UK (sponsorship not available)
Desirable:
- Experience in functional assessment or advisory roles
- Confidence in producing high‑quality written clinical reports
What’s on offer:
- Competitive salary with structured pay progression and bonus potential
- Approval bonus
- Hybrid working arrangement
- Structured hours – no evenings, weekends or bank holidays
- 25 days’ annual leave plus your birthday off
- NMC/HCPC fee reimbursement after probation
- Comprehensive training and ongoing clinical support
- Clear progression routes and CPD opportunities
- £2,500 referral bonus (terms apply)

- Prefer structured assessments and clear clinical frameworks
- Feel confident using computers and learning new clinical systems
- Enjoy writing detailed, high‑quality reports
- Value routine, consistency and a balanced working pattern
- Are keen to learn and develop and open to constructive feedback
This role might not be right for you if you…
- Are looking to stay in hands‑on clinical care or fast‑paced, acute settings
- Prefer minimal structure rather than clearly defined processes
- Don’t enjoy detailed report writing or written clinical work
- Would find working mainly with digital systems frustrating
- Would be uncomfortable with re‑training for a different type of clinical role, which includes a comprehensive, supported training programme
- Would feel uncomfortable working in a role with targets and quality measures
