Injection Mould Technician Location: Pontypridd CF37 Commutable from Pontypridd, Porth, Llantrisant, Cardiff, Newport, Merthyr Tydfil, Mountain Ash, Ystrad Mynach, Blackwood, Caerphilly, Bridgend

Salary: £32,000 – £40,000 per annum

I am working with a company looking to take on an injection mould technician to support and develop the engineering function for their busy manufacturing sites. This business has gone from strength to strength, having a strong order book and has reinforced their success with a recently opened new premises.

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Machine setup & operation, installing mould tools, setting machines, and starting production runs
  • Process setting, adjusting parameters like temperature, pressure, and cycle times to achieve the correct part quality
  • Inspecting parts during production to ensure they meet specifications and identifying defects
  • Resolving day-to-day issues with machines or tooling and carrying out routine maintenance
  • Training junior members of staff identifying and resolving issues and defects during production
  • Creating or improving mould tools to produce parts efficiently and to the required quality standards

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
