Fantastic new opportunity for a NQ – 3 PQE Solicitor to join a leading ‘Top 100’ law firm in their military department to be based in their Plymouth office. Our client has a strong team of expert military solicitors who represent military service personnel who need to bring a claim against the Ministry of Defence due to their failure to adequately protect from illness or avoidable injury.
The team advise on a full range of areas, including military deafness and are looking for a Solicitor of 0-3-year PQE to join the military department, particularly focusing on military deafness and non-freezing cold injury cases. The successful candidate will be working within a busy claimant litigation team and must possess the experience and ability to independently manage a caseload varying in both value and complexity.
You will handle the claim from initial enquiry through to settlement and will be required to draft witness evidence, instruct relevant experts, review medical evidence and prepare schedules of loss. The ideal candidate should be an excellent communicator able to demonstrate strong developing relationships with both clients and colleagues. A passion and commitment to delivering a first-class service to clients is essential as well as previous experience of independently managing a caseload of litigated claimant cases.
Previous experience of dealing with noise-induced hearing loss claims would be an advantage but is not essential.
