Locum Consultant in Learning Disabilities Psychiatry – UK-Wide Opportunities

Section 12 & AC Essential Outpatient clinics, visits, CPAs, team discussion and meetings. MOJ reports if needed and RC work if applicable. Support at present from Cons 1 day per week and also some SAS input.

About the Role
As a locum Consultant Psychiatrist, you’ll work within multidisciplinary teams to provide high-quality psychiatric care to adults with complex mental health needs. Your responsibilities may include:
- Conducting psychiatric assessments and reviews
- Leading treatment planning and clinical decision-making
- Supporting junior medical staff and MDTs
- Liaising with community services and external partners
What We’re Looking For
- Essential: MBBS or equivalent medical degree
- Full GMC registration with a licence to practise
- Section 12/Section 22 and Approved/Responsible Clinician status (or eligibility)
- A current Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check or PVG check – or a willingness to undergo one as part of the registration process
- Experience in adult mental health settings
- UK Right to Work
- CCT in Psychiatry
- Section 12
