Duty Crime Solicitor – Leicester

Leading Midlands firm seeks a dedicated and motivated Duty Crime Solicitor to work on a broad range of criminal cases.

Duties will include:

  • Manage a varied caseload of criminal law matters, representing clients in Magistrates’, Youth and Crown Courts
  • Provide clear, expert legal advice to clients, ensuring they understand their rights and options
  • Prepare case files, draft legal documents, and attend pre-trial hearings and trial proceedings
  • Collaborate effectively with colleagues, including barristers, investigators, and support staff
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant legislation, procedures, and best practices in criminal law

About you

  • At least 1 years’ PQE
  • Police Station Accreditation
  • Previous experience in a similar role
  • Ability to work on the Police Station out of hours rota
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Ability to travel to different Court centres and Police Stations across Leicester

Job Tenure: Permanent and Full-Time

Salary: £40000 – £50000 per annum
