Job description: The work is typical of working in a rural hospital, covering High Dependency Unit, Theatres, on call, Maternity, Trauma, Paediatrics. Mix of day shifts 0800 - 1700 and on-calls overnight. Shared accommodation provided.

About the Role

As a locum Consultant in General Anaesthetics, you'll deliver safe and effective anaesthesia across a range of surgical specialties.

Responsibilities:

  • Providing general anaesthesia for elective and emergency procedures.
  • Conducting pre-operative assessments and post-operative care.
  • Supporting junior anaesthetists and theatre staff.
  • Participating in audits and clinical governance.

What We're Looking For

Essential:

  • MBBS or equivalent medical degree.
  • Full GMC registration with a licence to practise.
  • FRCA or equivalent.
  • A current Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check or PVG check - or a willingness to undergo one as part of the registration process.
  • UK Right to Work.
  • Strong communication and teamworking skills.

Desirable:

  • CCT in Anaesthetics (or within 6 months of achieving it).
