Would you like to work for a growing local business, that has the job security of being part of a multi-billion-pound global industrial manufacturer? Due to gaining more customers and future growth plans, they are looking for a number of experienced design engineers at various levels.

Responsibilities:

  • Working in a team of 20 design engineers
  • Responsible for designs, proposals, analysis and qualification of customer specifications
  • Use of Autodesk Inventor and 3D Solidworks
  • Selection, sizing and lay-up of components
  • Investigate and improve when failures happen – suggest design improvements
  • Selection of suitable materials for protection of products being manufactured

Qualifications:

  • Must be able to use Autodesk Inventor (2D) and Solidworks (3D) design software
  • At least 10+ years in a similar design engineer role
  • Solid mechanical design engineering experience – fluid mechanics, material science, stress analysis, hydraulics, pneumatics
  • Degree qualified in Design or Mechanical Engineering
  • Must have previously worked in a design team for manufacturing
  • Knowledge of electrical theory – voltage stress, resistance, current
  • Effective communicator – working with teams in sales, projects, production, testing, supply chain
