A new and exciting opportunity has arisen for a Maintenance Engineer to join a company operating within a highly automated environment. Role & Responsibilities:

  • Provide electrical and mechanical support across production and packaging machinery
  • Diagnose faults and carry out effective repairs to reduce downtime
  • Perform planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and continuous improvement tasks
  • Support the installation and integration of new equipment and technology
  • Work closely with production and engineering teams to maintain performance, efficiency, and safety standards

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

  • Engineering Apprenticeship or equivalent (minimum NVQ Level 3)
  • Strong diagnostic, fault-finding and preventative maintenance ability
  • Good understanding of health, safety, and quality standards
  • A team player with strong communication skills; self-motivated and adaptable
  • Experience within FMCG, Food, Pharmaceutical, or other regulated environments
  • Familiar with RCM, FMEA, PLC systems (Siemens, Allen Bradley, Mitsubishi) and automated equipment
  • Experience across multi-disciplinary engineering projects
  • Reading and interpreting electrical and pneumatic drawings (NVQ3 minimum)
  • Working on motors, gearboxes, chain drives, conveyors, pumps, and bearings
  • 3-phase & single-phase electrical systems, basic PLC knowledge, inverters and control systems
  • Steam boilers, steam & condensate systems, heat exchangers, and soft water plant
