Company Overview: Join a well‑established heavy engineering company specialising in industrial machinery and mechanical systems. This is a hands‑on role in a technical, fast‑paced manufacturing environment.
Role & Responsibilities:
- Carry out fault diagnosis, preventive and corrective maintenance on heavy industrial plant and equipment
- Install, repair and maintain mechanical transmissions, hydraulic and pneumatic systems
- Perform inspections, troubleshooting and repairs using fabrication, welding and machining techniques
- Do routine maintenance, lubrication schedules and safety checks
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and promote operational efficiency
Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
- Strong background in heavy engineering and mechanical fitting
- Qualified via Mechanical/Electrical HNC or apprenticeship. Hands‑on experience preferred
- Experience working with heavy industrial machinery or production equipment
- Skills in welding, fabrication, machining and mechanical troubleshooting
- Advantageous: Siemens S7 or CAM programming
Job Tenure: Permanent
Salary: £34,000 – £35,000 per annum + 25 Days + Bank Holidays + Overtime
