Associate Solicitor – Agriculture & Landed Estates – 5+ Years PQE – Devizes
Type of Role: Permanent, Full-time (with some hybrid flexibility)
Salary: £55,000 to £75,000 (depending on experience)
A well regarded law firm is seeking an Associate Solicitor with 5+ years’ post qualification experience to join its expanding Agriculture & Landed Estates team. This is an excellent opportunity for a specialist private client lawyer with strong tax expertise to work within a high performing, supportive environment handling complex and rewarding matters.
The Role
You’ll be responsible for managing a varied and technical caseload, including:
- Tax and tax efficient Wills
- Probate and estate administration
- Lasting Powers of Attorney
- Lifetime tax planning
- Court of Protection matters
- IPFD claims
- Trust creation, administration, and restructuring
- At this level, you will be given autonomy to run matters with minimal supervision, drawing on your in depth knowledge of inheritance tax, capital gains tax, and tax efficient planning strategies.
Candidate Requirements
This role is suited to a qualified solicitor with:
- 5+ years PQE in private client work
- Strong expertise in inheritance tax and capital gains tax planning
- Experience advising on trusts and tax efficient structures
- Excellent communication and client care skills
- Confidence managing complex matters independently
- High attention to detail and strong technical drafting ability
- A proactive, organised, and motivated approach
- A genuine passion for tax planning and long term estate strategy
- Experience working with agricultural clients or landed estates is advantageous but not essential.
