Roles & Responsibilities:
- Review enquiries to ensure the ability to supply compliant quotations within the company’s product range.
- Ensure all quotations are 100% accurate, including relevant margins, and comply with certification requirements.
- Manage quote amendments pre- and post-sale to meet customer and project needs.
- Raise DFA’s (Design for Approval) when required, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Communicate regularly with external customers to ensure comprehensive and compliant quotations.
- Maintain regular customer contact regarding key quotations to address inquiries and updates.
- Answer general technical enquiries, including specifications, certifications, and building regulations, consulting the technical team when necessary.
- Follow all standard operating procedures and processes to ensure consistency and quality.
- Continuously look for ways to improve the quoting process and contribute to operational efficiencies.
- Ensure KPIs related to estimation and customer engagement are met consistently.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
- Experience in a Continuous Improvement / Production Engineer / Manufacturing Engineer / Process Engineer role.
- Educated to HNC level (or equivalent) in an Engineering discipline would be beneficial.
- Lean Management.
- Must be fully proficient in the use of Microsoft Office software.
- Experience of 2D and/or 3D CAD would be beneficial.
- A proven track record of implementing improvements in processes and operational effectiveness.
- Previous experience working in a manufacturing environment with a good understanding of manufacturing processes.
