A respected law firm is seeking a Real Estate Construction Litigation Associate with a minimum of 2 years’ post qualification experience to join its growing Cardiff team. This is an excellent opportunity to take on a varied caseload of construction related property disputes within a supportive, ambitious and well established commercial litigation environment. Candidates with general commercial litigation experience and a genuine interest in construction/property disputes are also encouraged to apply.
The Role
- Managing a broad range of real estate and construction related litigation matters, including:
- Construction related property disputes
- Breach of contract and breach of covenant matters
- Defects, delay and professional negligence claims
- Landlord and tenant disputes involving construction or repair obligations
- Dilapidations and service charge disputes
- Boundary, party wall and rights of way issues
- Advising clients on strategy, risk and resolution options
- Liaising with surveyors, experts, contractors and other professionals
- Supporting a collaborative and ambitious team culture
- Maintaining high professional standards and compliance
Candidate Requirements
- 2+ years’ PQE (construction litigation or commercial litigation)
- Strong technical and drafting skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Confidence managing matters independently
- High attention to detail and accuracy
