We are seeking a well-rounded Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive to join our clients renowned and down to earth Private Client team. You will join a highly respected and established department specialising in wills and estate planning, managing a diverse caseload of private client matters. These will include the preparation of wills, drafting documents, deeds, and letters, providing estate and tax (mainly inheritance tax) planning advice, and advising in the administration of estates for lay executors as well as where the firm is appointed as professional executor.
Additionally, you will offer advice on the use of trusts, prepare and register powers of attorney, and advise on general private client matters, excluding conveyancing work. To be successful in this role, you should have a good level of experience in the areas of private client law mentioned above, be able to relate to clients of all levels, and demonstrate excellent levels of client care. Self-motivation and the ability to work with minimum supervision are also essential.
Although the firm are ideally looking for individuals around the 5+ PQE mark, they are open to considering more senior individuals looking for an opportunity to join a committed team.
