As part of their continued expansion, they are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to drive growth across the Midlands, selling high value CNC machinery and associated tooling solutions. This role offers superb earning potential and the support of a close‑knit, high‑performing team.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a commercial strategy targeting OEMs and Tier 1 & 2 suppliers across the region.
- Generate, qualify and convert leads into major capital‑equipment opportunities, building a robust pipeline.
- Re‑engage dormant accounts and strengthen long‑standing customer relationships.
- Lead RFQs, contract reviews, pricing strategy and senior‑level negotiations for high‑value machinery projects.
- Produce accurate, insight‑led forecasts to support strategic commercial decisions.
- Work closely with engineering and production teams to translate customer requirements into practical, cost‑effective CNC solutions.
- Identify opportunities across upgrades, maintenance, tooling and repair services to maximise account value.
What You Bring
- Proven business development experience selling high‑value, low‑volume capital equipment – ideally CNC machinery or related engineering solutions.
- A multi‑channel sales approach, including cold calling, marketing, social media and exhibitions.
- Strong technical aptitude – knowledge of CNC machining and tooling is essential.
- Experience managing complex, long‑cycle sales with multiple stakeholders and senior‑level decision‑makers.
- The ability to work autonomously.
- A solution‑focused and technical mindset, enabling you to solve engineering problems and guide customers toward commercially viable technical solutions.
