Associate – Construction Disputes – Bristol – 3+ Years PQE
Location: Bristol (Hybrid)
Type of Role: Permanent, Full-time
Salary: £80,000 to £110,000 (reflecting the top end of the regional market)
A leading national law firm with a top tier reputation in the UK legal market is seeking a Construction Disputes Associate (3+ PQE) to join its Bristol office. The Role
You will join a highly ranked Construction & Engineering disputes team, acting on complex, high value matters across major sectors including energy, utilities, transport, real estate and infrastructure. Responsibilities include:
- Advising on construction related litigation, adjudication and arbitration
- Acting on disputes in the Technology and Construction Court
- Managing adjudications and expert determinations
- Providing strategic troubleshooting advice throughout the project lifecycle
- Working on domestic and international arbitration matters
- Supporting clients across major infrastructure and energy projects
- Collaborating closely with a respected partner and a growing national team

Candidate Requirements
This role is suited to a qualified solicitor with:
- 3+ years PQE in contentious construction disputes
- Experience handling complex and high value matters
- Strong understanding of adjudication, arbitration and TCC litigation
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to manage a varied and demanding caseload
- Motivation, commercial awareness and a willingness to learn
- Experience supervising junior colleagues and contributing to business development
- Registration with the SRA
