A world class medical device supplier with a very lucrative product range are rapidly expanding the organisation and as a result of this they’re looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join their team. Significant investment has enabled the company to acquire new businesses and grow the company brand worldwide. The company’s product range is established throughout the UK, Asia, America, Mexico, Europe and more with plans to branch out further next year, making it a great time to join this lucrative organisation. There will be opportunities for this person to train and develop on the job and learn the medical standards as well as furthering their skills within Design.
Role & Responsibilities:
- Product Design and development of medical devices from concept to market release.
- Create parametrically editable 3D models of legacy products.
- Provide engineering requirements for ECO’s.
- Communicate technical information (Verbal / written) underpinned with engineering principles and evidence in a clear and concise manner (GDP).
- Carry out design updates for any design changes as part of the change management process.
- Verification and validation of components and assemblies (ISIR and appropriate testing, as required).
- Record all formal and relevant informal engineering information in the PLM system.
- Modification/amendment of new/existing drawings in accordance with design standards.
- Other reasonable duties which you may be requested to perform from time to time by your manager.
- Bill Of Materials Creation and Management.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
- Problem solving techniques (i.e. DFMEA / Risk Analysis).
- Experience in compilation of usability engineering file.
- Open to the background of this person as long as they have worked in manufacturing.
- Experience working as a Design Engineer within a manufacturing environment.
- A degree qualified person with 1-2 years design experience would be a perfect fit for this role.
