Sales Executive – At Wagstaff Group, we are looking for an experienced Sales Executive to join our rapidly growing company. The Sales Executive will be responsible for arranging and setting appointments for the Field Sales Team in our fit-out and specialist furniture sector.
The Sales Executive will be responsible for:
- Identifying potential clients and reaching them via phone or email to schedule appointments for a sales representative.
- Familiarising themselves with essential details of our products and services.
- Calling prospective clients using phone numbers provided by bought-in data or internal knowledge.
- Researching prospects prior to making contact.
- Fielding basic questions about the products and services we offer.
- Handling objections over the phone and working through the sales process with prospects to achieve positive outcomes.
- Being driven and familiar with working towards KPIs as part of the role.
Essential requirements include:
- Proven experience as an appointment setter, sales representative, or similar role.
- Demonstrated top-notch verbal, written, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with a varied audience from lower management to C-Suite prospects.
- Excellent phone etiquette.
- Possessing active listening skills, empathy, communicativeness, and assertiveness.
- Good researching skills using information from prospective companies’ websites and platforms like LinkedIn.
- Persuasive and results-oriented.
The salary is up to £30,000 basic with a commission structure rewarding each qualified appointment you book, leading to up to an additional £12,000 per annum.
The hours of work are Monday to Friday, 9am-5.30pm with a 1-hour lunch or 9am-5pm with a 30-minute lunch. Currently, this is an office-based role but may move to hybrid once fully onboarded in the future.

To be suitable for the role, you may have previously worked as an SDR, Appointment Setter, Telesales Agent, Telemarketer, Sales Development Representative, or Outbound Call Agent.
