We are looking for a commercially minded FP&A Analyst or Senior Analyst who thinks critically, challenges assumptions, and actively seeks to understand the story behind the numbers. This is not a role for someone who simply follows processes. We want someone who uses their judgment, asks the right questions, and brings insight.
You will play a key role in helping the business understand performance drivers, improve decision-making, and scale sustainably. You will work directly with the CEO and CFO on strategic analysis, financial planning, and reporting for senior stakeholders, including investors, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and insight in how performance is communicated.
Key Responsibilities- Develop financial models to support forecasting, budgeting, and long-term planning
- Analyse business performance and identify key drivers of revenue, cost, and profitability
- Prepare and contribute to monthly and annual financial reporting for internal stakeholders and external audiences, including investors
- Translate financial results into clear, concise narratives that explain performance and key trends
- Turn complex data into actionable insights for stakeholders
- Partner with teams across the business (marketing, pricing, operations) to support strategic decisions
- Challenge existing assumptions, processes, and metrics where appropriate
- Support scenario analysis and stress testing to guide decision-making
- Identify opportunities for efficiency and growth through data analysis
- Strong financial background (FP&A, Big Four, consulting or similar). Must demonstrate strong understanding of a P&L and its commercial drivers
- Advanced Excel / Google Sheets skills
- Ability to manipulate and analyse large datasets
- Experience interpreting data to uncover business drivers
- Experience preparing or contributing to financial reporting for senior stakeholders or investors
- Excellent communication skills - able to explain complex ideas clearly and confidently
- Strong problem-solving ability and commercial awareness
- Remote-first, with a preference for candidates based in Cape Town or London
